I ran into Tim frequently around Cambridge, in the Coop or when he was walking Pia from school. Aside from his important work which clearly inspired so many, Tim was a good neighbor- a man who always had time to say hello in the most genuine way. He was never too busy or distracted to greet me or to engage in a conversation about food, immigration, his most recent trip to Brazil, fishing on Cape Ann or the weather. He was sincere, engaging; he was present. He was a good man.
He will be missed by many- from his family and close friends to those of us whose days were made brighter by bumping into his mustached smile on the street.
