Tim was only 64 and was such a wonderful person. I remember him always enthusiastic, ironic, intelligent, curious, bearer of a unique charge of humanity. The whole life of Tim has been embedded in the labor class, devoted to the labor movement, always working on the edges, building bridges and exploring new frontiers of the fight for a more just and for a diverse world.
Tim has also been a friend, a wise inspirer and an organizer of the L&G network, in which he saw a continuation of his long militancy for the renewal of the labor movement in US and worldwide. It has been a great privilege to know him, and an honor and a rare human pleasure to work with him.
We will miss him immensely.
In this moment, my thoughts go to his family and to his last little and much loved daughter.
I also would like to send my warm closeness to Brendan Smith, another dear friend of L&G, and by him, to Jeremy Brecher, who both have been the closest friends and comrades of adventures of Tim, with whom more recently co-founded Global Labor Strategies. And I would like to express on behalf of you all our collective solidarity to the US activists for this hard loss.
With a great sadness in the heart
